Lakshmi Rai is a South Indian actress who recently made news when she was linked with cricketer Dhoni. Lakshmi Lakshmi Rai is a Mangalorean but was born in Belgaum, Karnataka on 5th May 1981 to Ram Rai and Manjula. She is from the Bunt community of coastal Karnataka and has two older sisters, Reshma and Ashwini. Lakshmi's nickname is Krishna, her mother tongue is Kannada. Other movies she will be seen in are Irumbu Kottai Murattu Singam and Naan Avanillai 2. In Naan Avanillai 2 her co-stars are Jeevan, Sangeeta, Shweta Menon, and Hema Malini. Lakshmi will soon be seen as a Punjabi girl in the Hindi movie HHey Gujju with Himesh Reshammiya playing a double role. This movie is scheduled to release in January 2010. She will also be seen in the Malayalam movie Chattambinadu with actor Mammootty.
